BIOGRAPHY

  • Over the past two years, Kim has worked tirelessly to help many soldiers, dependents, federal workers, and veterans with their federal cases in front of federal courts and federal administrative agencies. She has a passion to help others figure out legal solutions to their problems, and has the unique skillset to help those in these aforementioned federal arenas.
  • In the past, Kim worked as a civilian JAG for for the U.S. Army helping more than 250 soldiers with their medical and physical evaluation boards in front of the U.S. Army and VA.
  • Because of the high caseload, she has seen every kind of case from back injuries to diabetes to cardiac conditions and cancer. She's dealt with those that incurred combat injures from IED explosions and/ or direct combat with the enemy to those who got injured while jumping out of airplanes and helicopters.
  • She is accustomed to medical documents and military lingo. She is also a military spouse to an Army dentist, so she understands the military lifestyle.  After overcoming several injuries and viewing medical malpractice in her past positions, she went into solo practice with the desire to help those who are injured.
  • Kim grew up in Pennsylvania, and moved to Georgia with her father at the age of 12 when her adopted mother passed away. Even so, she succeeded in college and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Young Harris College in 2008 and Cum Laude from Georgia College in 2010 with a Bachelors in Political Science and a minor in Spanish (which she still loves learning). She attended the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law thereafter where she was a law librarian apprentice for the majority of her time in law school refining her legal research skills as no other law student before her. Kim also served as a judicial law clerk for almost 2 years where she learned how to be a good lawyer by helping remand works for not-so-good lawyers and assisted in drafting opinions on various cases before the Court.
  • Kim has also worked in-house for a large corporation (Jim Beam Brands AKA Beam Suntory), served as a student public defender while in law school, performed an esteemed JAG internship (only 80 of 1,000s of applicants are picked) after her second year of law school.
  • She enjoys spending time with her 4-year-old, visiting parts of Richmond, VA, that they have not been to, sewing projects, playing piano, decorating, and traveling abroad.
